Hola ¡!!  There are a lot of things that I can explain about New Zealand and kiwi people, but I don’t expect this. You must to live your real kiwi experience!! Now I only want to explain my trip there and try to help you to decide. But If you are reading this, I only can say : DO IT!! If you really want to learn English in the other side of the world and have new experiences with people from all over the world, New Zealand is the best option.

I am a Spanish girl who I was always dreaming about travels, but I couldn’t speak any word in English. It was a shame!!! I only said a few words, but one day I received a letter from Spanish government which gave to me the possibility to come true my dream. I had the money top pay my English course. It was my time to learn English and travel around asia, now It is my hobby!!

Why did I decide to go to NZ ? There are a lot of reasons. First, I wanted to learn English without a lot of Spanish students. I really wanted to speak English, I didn’t want to spend my time talking with another Spanish people and having only fun. Second, NZ was the door for my trip, I wanted to continue travelling in Asia. Third, NZ has the most amazing landscapes that I’ve never seen before. Definetely, I was in love in a few seconds about NZ after I saw a few photos about this country. If you like nature you can check, and you can understand to me.

First of all, I was really afraid and a little bit scare because NZ is 24 hours by plane from Barcelona, I didn’t know so much about this country and I travel alone... my family couldn’t understand to me and told to me “You are crazy!! You can study English in London. Why NZ??? Sometimes people cannot understand our options, but If you feel it is your way, you must try !!!

I have to say that NZ is an very easy country to travel, kiwi people help to you all the time, the transports are great and everything is easy here. I remember one day in the north of south island with my Spanish friend from Whitianga school. We met in Nelson, where was celebrating a Jazz Festival. There was a lot of concerts in a street or pubs for free, amazing if you think that You must to pay for everything in Barcelona. Anyway, we hadn’t a backpacker (the cheapest hostels) to sleep that night because all of them was full and the same situation in the villages near Nelson. At the end, the owner of one backpacker where we asked for spleep call to differents hostels, hotels and campings and find to us a nice camping. “El nos dejo tambien la tienda de campaña, el saco de dormer y las esterillas, que mas se puede pedir?”

At the same time, If you want party all the time, maybe Whitianga is not the best option for you, because It is a quite place near the beach, really nice but so quite. I spent my time riding my bicycle and trying to remember that all the activity was finished about 5 oclock in the afternoon. For a Spanish guy it is a difficult way of life to understand.
